Constant scratching is a sign of allergies, especially if it gets worse after you have been outside.
- Red, irritated skin

If an allergy is not treated and your pet continues to be exposed to the cause, hair loss can occur.
- Hot spots
Hot spots occur when the skin is so inflamed that it becomes very red and can even bleed. There will also be hair loss.

If the allergy is affecting your dog’s ears, there will often be an odour.
- Head shaking
Another classic sign your dog’s ears are being bothered. They may become so sensitive that your pet shies away from you touching their head.
